Important Before You Book a Private Event
The Italian Diva LLC - Private In-Home Policy
Minimum Event & Travel Fees
A minimum event fee of $779 applies to every private event, and is determined by the number of guests and the menu selected. If the total calculated using the per-person menu pricing is less than $779, the minimum event fee applies. If the per-person total exceeds $779, the higher amount applies. A $100 travel fee applies to events within a 15-mile radius of ZIP code 02571. Locations beyond 15 miles are subject to an additional $2.00 per mile, round trip.

Deposit & Payment
A minimum $500 deposit is required to secure a specific date for a private event. The deposit is applied toward the total event fee. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event.

Guest Count
The final guest count must be confirmed 7 days before the event.
A reduction in guest count does not reduce the applicable minimum event fee. Additional guests may be accommodated when possible and will be charged at the applicable per-person rate.

Minimum Guest Age & Safety
The Italian Diva cooking experiences for an in-home event are designed for adults and mature guests age 11 and older and take place in a working kitchen with knives, hot surfaces, and cooking equipment. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, children under 11 are not permitted to attend or remain in the kitchen during class. Children age 11 and older may attend when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. However, because this is a hands-on cooking experience, all guests who attend the event are considered paying participants, whether or not they choose to participate in the cooking. The host is responsible for ensuring that children and other non-participating individuals remain safely outside the cooking area during the event.

Customizing The Italian Experience
For customized menu requests, an additional service fee may be required before menu selections and pricing are finalized.

Menu & Dietary Restrictions
Special meals, alternative ingredients, or foods outside the selected menu cannot be provided or prepared unless specifically agreed upon with The Italian Diva in advance. Guests may not bring their own ingredients or substitute foods without prior approval. All attendees are expected to participate in preparing and enjoying the selected menu. .
Due to the nature of a hands-on cooking environment, The Italian Diva cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and is unable to accommodate food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions unless expressly agreed upon in advance.

Host Responsibilities
For off-site events, the host is responsible for providing a safe and suitable kitchen and dining area, including adequate workspace, functioning appliances, seating, and reasonable access for setup and breakdown.
Pets must be secured away from the cooking and dining areas for the duration of the event. Guests are responsible for any loss of or damage to The Italian Diva LLC's cookware, equipment, or property beyond ordinary use.

Client Cancellations
Because private events require advance purchasing, preparation, menu planning, and scheduling, the following cancellation policy applies:
-
More than 30 days before the event: 50% of payments received will be refunded.
-
30 days or less before the event: Payments are non-refundable.
Once an event falls within the 30-day cancellation period, the date and associated preparation are considered committed and cannot be refunded.

Weather & Safety-Related Postponements
The safety of The Italian Diva, her assistant(s), and guests is always the priority. In the event of severe or hazardous weather—including high winds, heavy rain, flooding, snow, ice, hazardous road conditions, road closures, or official travel advisories—The Italian Diva LLC reserves the right, in her reasonable judgment, to postpone or cancel an off-site event when travel or conducting the event would present an unreasonable safety risk. An official travel advisory or government declaration is not required for The Italian Diva to determine that conditions are unsafe.
When a weather-related postponement is necessary, every reasonable effort will be made to reschedule the event for a mutually agreeable date, subject to availability. Weather-related postponements are not considered client cancellations and do not automatically entitle the client to a refund.
If the client declines or is unable to accept the rescheduling options offered, the event will be considered canceled by the client and the applicable cancellation policy will apply. Rescheduled events must take place within 90 days of the original event date and are subject to the rates, menu pricing, and policies in effect on the new date.

Alcohol
Guests are responsible for their own alcohol consumption and are expected to drink responsibly. The Italian Diva LLC does not provide alcohol unless specifically agreed upon in advance.

Illness
Guests experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness should not attend an event. The Italian Diva LLC reserves the right to postpone an event when circumstances present a reasonable health or safety concern.

Final Word From The Italian Diva
Thank you for taking a moment to review these policies before booking. They are designed to ensure that every event is safe, enjoyable, well-prepared, and a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
I look forward to welcoming you into my kitchen!
— Dedee Royale, Chef and Cuisenaire
