 Step in the culinary history of Chicken Marengo, the legendary dish said to have been created for Napoleon Bonaparte after his victory at the Battle of Marengo in 1800. Prepared with whatever ingredients were available in the countryside, this iconic recipe reflects ingenuity, boldness, and timeless technique. In this class, we’ll prepare tender chicken gently braised in a savory tomato and white wine sauce layered with garlic, fresh herbs, mushrooms, and jumbo shrimp whose delicate richness adds depth and a touch of elegance to the dish. Briny olives complete the sauce, creating a beautifully balanced interplay of land and sea.
